The other day, my mother-in-law mentioned that she thought I was a good mom. My reply was that maybe some of that had to do with me being more like my kids than like a "real" grown up. I said something like, "I'm not so sure that if I caught my kids hanging from the chandeliers that I wouldn't tell them, 'hey, that looks like fun.'" They aren't actually swinging from the fixtures, but here you have my cohort in childishness, my husband, helping both our girls to dance on the table - providing music and everything! I think we may be hopeless.
Woo-hoo, good moves! Alex has a cool break-dancing sort of thing going on when he watches Scooby Doo, we'll have to get them together for a dance party.
ReplyDeleteThis whole blog entry could easily be called into question because it is based on a comment by your mother-in-law (MY mother) - are we sure her comment should be taken as merit-filled???? Ha Ha. You are a good mother as is your mother-in-law.
